Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I schedule my appointments online? Yes. You can use our Jane App software to schedule and cancel appointments easily, see and pay your bills, receive emails, and do it right from your own device. Of course you can always call to schedule as well. Note: if you schedule online, you will be required to keep a card on file for cancellation policies.
  • Do you take Insurance? No. While it may seem a bit uneasy not to use your insurance, there is also a lot of freedom to be able to work through your health journey by taking out the middle man.
  • Isn't cash-pay just a way to charge whatever you want? Fair question. Our core service pricing is transparent and available upfront. For some patients, a multi-visit care plan or package makes the most clinical and financial sense — and we'll always walk you through exactly what's included and why before you commit to anything. No pressure. No surprises. You decide.
  • What forms of payment do you accept? We accept cash, credit, debit, HSA/FSA, and soon Care Credit for your convenience.
  • Can you create a superbill for me to submit to my insurance company? Yes.
  • Do you accept Medicare? We are considered a NON-Participating provider. What does this mean for you? Option 1: You choose to use Medicare. You will pay our clinic up front, and then we will submit the bill to Medicare and they will reimburse you. Option 2: You can choose to pay the cash price and not deal with Medicare.
  • Is this a passive treatment where I just show up and get worked on? Not here. Bezanson Health is an active partnership — we work with you, not on you. You'll understand what we're addressing and what you can do outside these walls to support your own progress. Patients who get the best results here are curious, committed, and ready to invest in themselves. If that sounds like you — you're in the right place.
  • Is laser therapy actually proven or is it a gimmick? Class IV photobiomodulation is FDA-cleared with over 4,000 published peer-reviewed studies. It is used in professional sports organizations, military rehabilitation programs, and major hospital systems. This isn't wellness theater — it's clinical technology that works at the cellular level to reduce inflammation and accelerate tissue repair.
  • I've heard metabolic coaching isn't real medicine. What makes yours different? If your doctor told you your labs were fine but you still feel terrible — your labs weren't the whole picture. Insulin resistance, inflammation, and metabolic dysfunction don't always show up on standard panels. Our metabolic coaching is anchored in evidence-based insulin and inflammation science, not generic wellness advice.
  • How is this different from my regular chiropractor? Most chiropractic offices adjust and send you home. At Bezanson Health we combine spinal care with Class IV laser therapy, radial pressure wave therapy, direct-current neuromuscular re-education, and metabolic health coaching — because chronic pain rarely has just one cause.
  • Do you just keep patients coming back indefinitely? No. We build progress-based care plans with a clear direction and a goal of getting you better — not keeping you dependent. Our patients graduate. That's the point.
  • Do you offer in-house imaging? While we don't have advanced imaging in our clinic, we have partnered with Element Imaging, who also has the same easy online-scheduling, can pay cash, and the images will be uploaded to a portal that we can review and report.
  • Do you offer in-house lab draws? No, but you can also take your lab order forms to a LabCorp nearest you.
  • Do you work with other doctors we may already have on our healthcare team? YES. We encourage collaborative approaches and know we will never solve every healthcare need. In addition to working with your healthcare providers, we also have trusted referral networks should we need another great clinician on our team.
  • Do you see patients from outside Overland Park? Yes. We serve patients from throughout Johnson County including Leawood, Prairie Village, Olathe, Lenexa, and the greater Kansas City metro area. Same-week appointments are typically available.
